ASK   AN   AUNTY CORPORATE

Human capability for an AI-powered workplace.

Artificial intelligence is changing how we work.

Algorithms increasingly influence what we see. AI can generate information in seconds. Digital communication is replacing many face-to-face interactions. Scams, misinformation, deepfakes and social engineering are becoming increasingly sophisticated.

But technology cannot replace judgement.

It cannot replace trust.

It cannot replace relationships, accountability, leadership or the ability to recognise when something simply does not feel right.

Ask an Aunty Corporate develops the human capabilities people need to work confidently, safely and intelligently in an increasingly digital world.

REAL People in a Digital World

THE HUMAN CHECK

Technology can provide an answer.

People still need to decide whether it is a good answer.

Ask an Aunty introduces a simple human decision-making approach that encourages people to:

THINK → CHECK → QUESTION → CONNECT → DECIDE

Before acting, sharing, clicking, trusting or relying on digital information, we encourage people to stop and apply the Human Check.

Who created this?

How do I know it is true?

What might be missing?

Could I be being manipulated?

Should I verify it somewhere else?

Who should I talk to?

What are the consequences if I get this wrong?

These are increasingly important workplace capabilities in an AI-powered world.

SIX CORE CAPABILITIES

Critical Thinking

Recognising misinformation, manipulation and questionable information while developing the confidence to ask better questions before acting.

AI & Digital Judgement

Understanding the opportunities and limitations of artificial intelligence, algorithms and automated systems — and recognising where human judgement, verification and accountability remain essential.

Cyber & Personal Digital Safety

Practical awareness of phishing, scams, social engineering, passwords, device security and protecting personal and organisational information.

Relationships & Communication

Building trust, listening, asking for help, managing difficult conversations and maintaining strong human relationships in increasingly digitally mediated workplaces.

Wellbeing & Resilience

Understanding digital overload, constant connectivity, online behaviour and the human impact of rapid technological change.

Leadership & Looking After People

Helping supervisors, mentors and emerging leaders recognise problems early, support colleagues and create environments where people feel confident asking questions and seeking help.

NOT ANOTHER CYBER COURSE

Ask an Aunty Corporate is deliberately different.

It is not designed as another compliance programme telling employees what they are allowed or not allowed to do.

Instead, we ask:

How do we help people make better decisions when there isn't an obvious answer?

Cybersecurity matters.

AI literacy matters.

Digital safety matters.

But ultimately many of the biggest organisational risks involve human decisions.

Someone clicks the link.

Someone trusts the email.

Someone accepts the AI-generated answer.

Someone shares the information.

Someone doesn't ask the question.

Someone is afraid to admit they made a mistake.

Ask an Aunty works on the human side of the equation.

ONE PROGRAMME. DIFFERENT WORKFORCES.

Ask an Aunty Corporate can be adapted for different groups within an organisation.

EARLY CAREERS

Apprentices | Cadets | Interns | Graduates | Young Employees

Building confidence, judgement, digital resilience and workplace relationships early in a person's career.

WORKFORCE

Operational | Technical | Professional | Corporate | Site-Based Teams

Practical tools for navigating AI, digital communication, misinformation, cyber risk and workplace relationships.

LEADERS

Supervisors | Managers | Mentors | Emerging Leaders

Helping leaders understand the human implications of AI and digital change while strengthening communication, judgement and responsibility for people.

FLEXIBLE DELIVERY

Organisations can begin with a tailored pilot.

OPTION ONE

6 × 1-hour facilitated sessions

Delivered over approximately six weeks.

OPTION TWO

1 × full-day programme

Approximately six hours of facilitated learning.

Both formats emphasise discussion, practical scenarios, applied exercises and real workplace situations rather than lecture-heavy training.

Ask an Aunty is designed to grow with an organisation.

PILOT → EVALUATE → TRAIN → LICENSE → SCALE → EMBED

An organisation might initially begin with 20–30 people.

Following evaluation, selected employees can undertake Ask an Aunty Train-the-Trainer development and become accredited internal facilitators.

The organisation can then licence Ask an Aunty for wider internal delivery.

This creates sustainable capability rather than permanent dependence on external trainers.

FROM PILOT TO ORGANISATIONAL CAPABILITY

TRAIN-THE-TRAINER

Build capability inside your organisation.

Selected employees can undertake dedicated facilitator development delivered by Akoako Equity Ltd.

Facilitators learn:

A PROGRAMME THAT EVOLVES WITH TECHNOLOGY

AI will change.

Cyber threats will change.

Social media will change.

The way people communicate will change.

Annual content updates can respond to emerging developments including:

Artificial intelligence

Generative AI

Deepfakes

Misinformation and disinformation

Online manipulation

Cyber threats

Digital identity

Workplace communication

Digital wellbeing

The technology will continue changing.

The need for good human judgement will not.

WHY ASK AN AUNTY?

Because sometimes the smartest thing you can do is ask someone you trust.

The original Ask an Aunty philosophy recognises something that technology sometimes causes us to forget:

People need people.

We learn through conversation.

We test ideas with other people.

We recognise risk through experience.

We develop judgement through relationships.

And sometimes the most valuable question we can ask is:

“Who should I talk to before I make this decision?”

That principle works in families, communities and workplaces.

Ask an Aunty emerged from work exploring how young people, families and communities navigate an increasingly complex digital environment.

Its origins recognise the importance of relationships, culture, collective knowledge, lived experience and intergenerational learning.

Those foundations remain important.

Ask an Aunty Corporate takes the underlying human capability principles and makes them accessible to diverse workplaces and organisations.

The programme does not require participants to share a particular cultural background.

Instead, it invites organisations to rediscover something universal:

technology works best when human intelligence, relationships and judgement remain at the centre.

INDIGENOUS ORIGINS. GLOBAL RELEVANCE.

THE CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP

Every organisation is different.

Ask an Aunty Corporate can therefore begin with a conversation about your people, your workplace and the digital challenges they are experiencing.

From there we can develop:

Corporate Pilot

Workforce Programme

Leadership Programme

Early Careers Programme

Train-the-Trainer

Enterprise Licensing

National or Multi-Region Rollout

LET'S TALK

If your organisation is thinking about AI capability, cyber awareness, workforce wellbeing, leadership development or preparing people for the future of work, we would welcome a conversation.
